About: Residents of two streets in Kurinjipatti (fictional)
A community's environmental effort
How two streets turned a planting day into a shared routine (fictional story).
Names and identifying details have been changed to protect privacy.
The challenge
Earlier planting efforts failed because nobody was responsible for watering the saplings.
Our support
This time, every household adopted specific saplings before planting began.
The journey
Children made name tags for the saplings, and neighbours shared water during the dry weeks.
The outcome
Most saplings survived the summer, and the streets now hold a monthly clean-up.
Evidence: the linked activity and photo album (demo records).
